Operating Guidelines

Operating procedure for equipment preparation before filling (replacing) the emulsion (cutting fluid).

Conduct standard cleaning procedure before filling (replacing) the emulsion (cutting fluid) (based on the KAMAZ plant experience):

1. Drain used cutting fluid completely (including from the “dead” areas);
2. Thoroughly clean any accessible internal surfaces of the equipment by mechanical means;
3. Fill the container with 5% working solution of technical detergent TEHMOS-2.
4. Wash the system by circulation for 2-3 hours.
5. Remove any dirt from accessible parts of the system while the detergent is circulated;
6. Drain the detergent completely (including from the “dead” areas);
7. Remove dirt and other wastes that got into the tanks from the pipelines;
8. Wash the system by circulation with 0.5% disinfectant solution of bactericide IK-7 (or foreign brand) for 4 hours;
9. Drain the disinfectant solution completely;
10. Rinse the system with clean warm water;
11. Fill the system with the working cutting fluid solution with a concentration that is 1-2% higher than the standard values (to compensate for the “dead areas” and residual contamination).

Following these recommendations will ensure long life and top performance of your cutting fluids.
